Strenghtening Public Governance and Global Partnerships to Overcome The Economic Crises and Inequalities: International Seminar Proceeding
Our theme of “Strengthening Global Governance and Global Partnership to Overcome the Economic Crisis and Inequalities” is indeed relevant with the current situation. The first world economic crisis on the late 1990s and the second wave of the world financial crisis on 2009 have augmented the number of poor people at increasingly greater number. The economic crisis and its impacts have taught us a very valuable lesson, particularly, on the inducement of various aspects that drive the global partnership more intensively. In other words, the economic crisis and the inequalities with their impact and complexity would be successfully overcome through global partnership and good governance. Each of those elements will influence and build upon each other in a continuous and dynamic evolution. In the globalization era, people who live at subsistent level are becoming more vulnerable towards various issues such as economic, social, health and security, for their impotency in accessing to and benefitting from various public facilities that keep abreast with technological environmental changes. To achieve them, the framework partnership will enable us to make a better living continuously.
The roles of good governance in this globalization era must be able to play a catalyst role that synergizes authorities and accumulates the use of resources from government institutions, private sectors, society, international organizations, NGOs and academicians from various universities.
